Forward Windows DNS Server Queries to Securd

Before You Begin Forwarding DNS Queries from Windows Server

You should have the DNS Server role installed. To install it, follow the Microsoft documentation:

Ensure you've Configured a Static IP Site to use Securd before proceeding.


Pointing Windows DNS Server to Securd

  1. Open DNS Manager

    • Press Win + R, type dnsmgmt.msc, and click OK
  2. Access Server Properties

    • Right-click your DNS server name and select Properties
  3. Configure Forwarders

    • Go to the Forwarders tab and click Edit
    • Add the following IP addresses:
      • 142.202.107.1
      • 142.202.107.2
    • Click OK
    • Click Apply to save settings
  4. Confirmation

    • The Securd IPv4 addresses should now appear in the Forwarders list
    • All DNS queries from this server will now be forwarded to Securd

Once complete, you should be able to Search, Filter, and Export Securd DNS Logs via the Securd portal.
